Cinnamon Sugar Biscuits

Here’s a warm, buttery Cinnamon Sugar Biscuits recipe — soft inside with a sweet, slightly crisp topping.


🍪 Cinnamon Sugar Biscuits

Ingredients (Makes 8–10 biscuits)

For the biscuits:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk (plus a little extra if needed)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

For the topping:

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    • Set oven to 425°F (220°C).
    • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix dry ingredients
    • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. Cut in butter
    • Add cold cubed butter.
    • Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work it in until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add wet ingredients
    • Stir in milk and vanilla just until dough comes together.
    • Do not overmix.
  5. Shape biscuits
    • Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface.
    • Gently pat to about 1-inch thickness.
    • Cut with a biscuit cutter or glass.
  6. Add cinnamon sugar topping
    • Brush tops with melted butter.
    • Mix cinnamon and sugar together, then sprinkle generously over biscuits.
  7. Bake
    • Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
    • Cool slightly before serving.

Optional Glaze (Extra Sweet)

Mix 1/2 cup powdered sugar with 1–2 tbsp milk and drizzle over warm biscuits.


These are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a cozy afternoon snack.
