🛒 Ingredients

Brownie Base:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Gooey Butter Topping:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1️⃣ Preheat Oven & Prep Pan

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
  • Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper

2️⃣ Make the Brownie Base

  1. In a large bowl, mix melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
  2. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  3. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  4. Mix until just combined.
  5. Spread evenly into prepared pan.

3️⃣ Make the Gooey Butter Topping

  1. Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  2. Add powdered sugar, eggs, and vanilla; mix until creamy.
  3. Spread gently over the brownie base.

4️⃣ Bake

  • Bake for 35–40 minutes, until edges are set but center is still slightly soft.
  • Let cool completely for cutting into squares.
