Light, fluffy, cloud-level good ☁️ Here’s the classic whipped cream (plus a couple fun tweaks).

Homemade Whipped Cream

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream (cold!)
  • 2 Tbsp powdered sugar (adjust to taste)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Chill your bowl & beaters (5–10 min in the fridge = bonus fluff).
  2. Beat cream on medium-high until it starts to thicken.
  3. Add powdered sugar + vanilla.
  4. Beat until soft peaks (pillowy) or stiff peaks (pipe-able). Stop early—overbeating = butter 😅

Flavor Ideas

  • 🍫 Chocolate: add 1–2 Tbsp cocoa powder + a touch more sugar
  • 🍓 Strawberry: fold in 2 Tbsp strawberry purée or jam
  • 🍁 Maple: swap sugar for maple syrup
  • ☕ Coffee: 1 tsp instant espresso powder

Make-Ahead Tip

If you need it to hold longer:

  • Add 1 tsp cornstarch or 1 Tbsp instant pudding mix while whipping
    → stays fluffy for hours
