Baked sweet potato

Ah yes, the humble baked sweet potato 🥔✨—simple, cozy, and low-effort delicious.

Basic oven method (foolproof):

  1. Heat oven to 400°F / 205°C.
  2. Scrub the sweet potato, dry it, and poke a few holes with a fork.
  3. Optional but nice: rub lightly with olive oil + pinch of salt.
  4. Bake 45–60 minutes, until super soft when squeezed.

How to serve (choose your vibe):

  • Classic: butter + salt + black pepper
  • Sweet: butter + cinnamon + drizzle of honey or maple syrup
  • Savory: sour cream or Greek yogurt + chives + flaky salt
  • Loaded: black beans, avocado, salsa, cheese
  • Fancy-ish: tahini + lemon + chili flakes

Shortcut:
Microwave 5–8 minutes (turn halfway), then finish in the oven or air fryer for 5–10 minutes if you want crispy skin.
