Strawberry angel cake

Posted on February 1, 2026 by Admin

Light, fluffy, and very “bring this to a picnic and everyone loves you” energy 🍓☁️
Here’s the classic, no-stress version.

🍓 Strawberry Angel Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 prepared angel food cake (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2–3 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • ¼ cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional, but brightens the berries)
  • 1 tub whipped topping or 1½ cups heavy cream, whipped with a little sugar

Instructions

  1. Macerate the strawberries:
Toss sliced strawberries with sugar and lemon juice. Let sit 20–30 minutes until juicy.
  2. Prepare the cake:
Slice the angel food cake horizontally or cube it—dealer’s choice.
  3. Assemble:
Layer cake, strawberries (plus juices!), and whipped topping.
  4. Chill (optional but nice):
Refrigerate 30–60 minutes to let everything soak together.
  5. Serve cold and watch it disappear.

✨ Easy Variations

  • Add a layer of vanilla pudding or cheesecake pudding
  • Swap strawberries for mixed berries
  • Drizzle with a little white chocolate
  • Make it trifle-style in a big bowl or individual cups

If you want a from-scratch angel cake, a 9×13 poke-style version, or a super nostalgic church-lady recipe, I got you 😄
