Posted on January 24, 2026 by Admin

Yesss šŸ˜ flaky, gooey, and wildly comforting.
Here’s a Cheese-Stuffed Paratha that’s crispy outside and melty inside—perfect with chai or yogurt.

Cheese-Stuffed Paratha

Ingredients

Dough

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour (atta)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ~¾ cup warm water
  • 1 tbsp oil or ghee

Filling

  • 1½ cups grated cheese
    • Best melt: mozzarella
    • Best flavor: mix with cheddar or Amul cheese
  • 1–2 tbsp chopped cilantro (optional)
  • ½ tsp crushed black pepper or green chili (to taste)
  • Pinch of salt (only if cheese isn’t salty)

For cooking

  • Ghee or butter

Instructions

  1. Make the dough
Mix flour and salt. Add water gradually and knead into a soft dough.
Knead in oil/ghee, cover, and rest 20–30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the filling
Mix grated cheese with cilantro, pepper/chili, and salt if needed.
  3. Stuff the paratha
    Divide dough into equal balls.
Roll one ball into a small disc.
Place a generous amount of cheese in the center.
Gather edges, seal well, and gently flatten.
  4. Roll gently
Dust lightly with flour and roll into a 6–7 inch circle.
(Be gentle so the cheese doesn’t break through.)
  5. Cook
Heat a tawa or skillet on medium.
Cook paratha until bubbles appear, flip, spread ghee/butter, flip again.
Cook both sides until golden brown and crisp.
  6. Serve hot
Best eaten straight off the pan while the cheese is stretchy šŸ˜‹

  • šŸŒ¶ļø Green chutney or chili sauce
