Garlic and butter flatbread

Here’s an easy, soft Garlic and Butter Flatbread—perfect with pasta, soup, or as a snack 🧄🧈

Garlic & Butter Flatbread

Ingredients (makes 6–8 flatbreads)

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¾ cup plain yogurt or milk
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter

Garlic Butter

  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2–3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make dough
    In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
    Stir in yogurt (or milk) and oil until a soft dough forms.
  2. Knead & rest
    Knead lightly on a floured surface (2–3 minutes).
    Cover and rest 20 minutes.
  3. Divide & roll
    Divide dough into balls.
    Roll each into a thin circle or oval.
  4. Cook
    Heat a dry skillet over medium-high.
    Cook flatbread 1–2 minutes per side until bubbles form and golden spots appear.
  5. Garlic butter finish
    Mix melted butter and garlic.
    Brush over hot flatbread.
    Sprinkle with parsley and a pinch of salt.
  6. Serve warm

Tips & Variations

  • Extra fluffy: Use yogurt instead of milk
  • Cheesy: Sprinkle with grated Parmesan or mozzarella
  • Herby: Add rosemary or oregano to butter
  • Oven method: Bake at 450°F (230°C) for 6–8 minutes
