Cleansing Green Detox Soup

Here’s a Cleansing Green Detox Soup—light, nourishing, and packed with veggies to support digestion and overall wellness.


Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil or coconut oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2–3 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cups kale or spinach (stems removed)
  • 1 zucchini, chopped
  • 1–2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 4 cups vegetable or chicken broth
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated (optional, for detox boost)
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Sauté aromatics: In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; sauté 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Add vegetables: Add broccoli, zucchini, and celery. Stir for 2–3 minutes.
  3. Add broth: Pour in vegetable or chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer, cover, and cook 10–12 minutes until vegetables are tender.
  4. Add greens: Stir in kale or spinach and cook 2–3 minutes until wilted.
  5. Blend (optional): For a creamy texture, use an immersion blender or transfer to a blender until smooth.
  6. Season & finish: Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
  7. Serve: Enjoy warm for a light, cleansing meal or detox-friendly snack.

Tips & Variations

  • Spicy kick: Add a pinch of cayenne or red pepper flakes.
  • Extra detox boost: Add 1 tsp spirulina or matcha powder before blending.
  • Protein option: Add cooked chicken, tofu, or white beans for a more filling meal.
  • Storage: Keeps in the fridge up to 3 days; reheat gently to preserve nutrients.
