Sausage Balls

Makes: ~24 balls (1 inch each)


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) breakfast sausage (mild or spicy)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1½ cups Bisquick (or any baking mix)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions


1. Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Mix Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, combine raw sausage, shredded cheddar, Bisquick, garlic powder, and pepper.
  • Mix thoroughly (hands work best).

3. Form Balls

  • Roll mixture into 1-inch balls.
  • Place on prepared baking sheet, leaving space between balls.

4. Bake

  • Bake 20–25 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through (sausage internal temp 160°F / 71°C).

5. Serve

  • Serve warm.
