🦀 Crab Rangoon Bombs

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup crab meat (imitation or real, finely chopped)
  • 2 green onions, finely sliced
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • 1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Optional for dipping

  • Sweet chili sauce
  • Duck sauce

Instructions

  1. Make filling
    In a bowl, mix cream cheese, crab, green onions, soy sauce, garlic powder, and sugar until smooth.
  2. Assemble bombs
    • Place a wonton wrapper on a flat surface.
    • Spoon about 1 tablespoon of filling into the center.
    • Brush edges with beaten egg.
    • Gather corners up and pinch tightly to seal into a ball.
  3. Fry
    • Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
    • Fry bombs in batches for 2–3 minutes, turning until golden brown.
    • Drain on paper towels.
  4. Serve hot
    Serve immediately with sweet chili or duck sauce.

  • Air fryer: Spray lightly with oil, air fry at 375°F for 8–10 minutes, turning halfway
  • Add a pinch of white pepper for authentic flavor
  • Mix in a little shredded mozzarella for extra pull
  • Make ahead and freeze uncooked—fry straight from frozen
