🧁 Million Dollar Cream Cheese Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups (3 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

  • 3 cups granulated sugar

  • 6 large eggs, room temperature

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch tube or bundt pan.

  2. In a large bowl, cream butter and cream cheese together until smooth and fluffy.

  3. Gradually add sugar, beating well until light and creamy.

  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.

  5. Mix in vanilla extract.

  6. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and salt.

  7. Slowly add dry ingredients to the batter, mixing just until combined. Do not overmix.

  8. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.

  9. Bake for 1 hour 30 minutes (or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean).

  10. Let cool in the pan for about 15 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Optional Add-Ins

  • Lemon zest or almond extract for flavor

  • Light dusting of powdered sugar

  • Simple glaze (powdered sugar + milk + vanilla)
