Here’s a classic creamy seafood (or crab) salad—cool, fresh, and perfect for sandwiches, crackers, or lettuce cups.


🦀 Creamy Seafood / Crab Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 lb imitation crab or lump crab meat, flaked
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Dijon or yellow mustard (optional)
  • ¼ cup celery, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp red onion, finely diced
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

Optional add-ins

  • Chopped fresh dill or parsley
  • Pinch of Old Bay seasoning
  • Diced cucumber or bell pepper

Instructions

  1. Prep seafood
    • Flake crab gently with fingers or fork.
  2. Make dressing
    • In a bowl, whisk mayo, lemon juice, mustard, salt, and pepper.
  3. Combine
    • Fold crab, celery, onion, and optional add-ins into dressing.
  4. Chill
    • Refrigerate 20–30 minutes for best flavor.
  5. Serve
    • On crackers, croissants, sandwiches, or over lettuce.

Tips & Variations

  • Extra creamy: Add 2 tbsp cream cheese or sour cream.
  • Sweeter style: Add a pinch of sugar or splash of pickle juice.
  • Lighter version: Use half Greek yogurt, half mayo.
  • Seafood mix: Add tiny cooked shrimp or bay scallops.
