Here’s a fun and hearty recipe for Cheeseburger Stuffed Pastries—crispy on the outside, cheesy and meaty on the inside.


🍔 Cheeseburger Stuffed Pastries

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese, shredded (or cheese of your choice)
  • 1 package store-bought puff pastry or crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Optional: ketchup, mustard, pickles, or sautéed mushrooms

Instructions

  1. Cook the filling
    • In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until fully browned.
    • Drain excess fat.
    • Let mixture cool slightly, then stir in shredded cheese.
  2. Prepare pastry
    • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Roll out puff pastry or separate crescent roll dough.
  3. Assemble pastries
    • Place 2–3 tbsp of filling in the center of each pastry square or triangle.
    • Fold over and seal edges with a fork.
  4. Add egg wash
    • Brush the top of each pastry with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  5. Bake
    • Place on a lined baking sheet.
    • Bake 15–20 minutes (puff pastry) or 12–15 minutes (crescent rolls) until golden brown and puffed.
  6. Serve
    • Optional: drizzle ketchup, mustard, or serve with pickles.

Tips & Variations

  • Extra cheesy: Add a slice of American cheese inside each pastry.
  • Veggie boost: Mix in finely chopped bell peppers or mushrooms.
  • Spicy: Add diced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce.
  • Make-ahead: Assemble pastries and freeze before baking; bake directly from frozen, adding a few extra minutes.
